              Rail Trail Work Party     (9am - 1pm)
Let's get to work clearing and improving a segment of the Waltham Rail Trail. The Rail Trail is a project to convert old railroad pathways into trails for biking and walking. Wear work clothes and bring a water bottle. Sponsered by Waltham Land Trust and DCR.

              Brandeis Students:
Please RSVP, especially if need a bike, or can lend a bike.

Learn about the solutions that are moving Waltham beyond fossil fuels, and connect with the local movement that drives these solutions.

              Rally for Solutions
Afterwards, move into Boston for a large vibrant rally, demonstrating all the creative ways that the people of Greater Boston are moving beyond fossil fuels.

At 1:30pm, Join the Waltham Rally at Christ Episcopal Church on 750 Main St. From there we'll move to Boston in two groups:
At 2:15pm, bikers will leave for Boston
At 2:30pm, others will walk to the Waltham Commuter Rail stop for the 2:53pm train into North Station

              Home Weatherizations!

We are providing a free service to folks in Waltham in order to decrease heating costs and consumption. We are concerned about the effects of coal and natural gas on our communities in Massachusetts.

              Save on energy costs!
              Get your home weatherized!

              We Need Volunteers:
We will need at least 35 volunteers working for a few hours to weatherize one building. Volunteers are the most important part of these weatherizations. Activities will include caulking windows and floors, using spray foam to plug up leaks, and more! No experience required.
              Want to volunteer?

              We Need Supplies:
We raise all the money for home weatherizations from donations. Weatherizing one home can cost as much as $1200 for supplies, paying contractors day-of, and paying for an energy audit.

Please consider donating to our home weatherization fund. Anything you can contribute helps us a lot.
